Amy Socorro and JP’s Engagement Session in the City

Lets talk about how cool it is that Amy’s full first name is Amy-Socorro!! And Amy and JP’s first born girl will have the same name. (not for a few years though ; ) It reminds me of how Adeline & Grace was named after our grandmothers. We met up last week in San Francisco… bearing the freezing winds, tourists and fishermen of Chrissy Field. The thing I love most about shooting in San Francisco is the ever changing backgrounds. We started out at Chrissy Field and then headed towards the Painted Ladies. For the East coasters out there this is the row of houses on the old TV show Full House. We walked two blocks around the park and found so many great nooks and crannies to shoot in (see below) We ended the night at the Broadway Pier.

Check back next year for their wedding at the Bentley Reserve!

Missie & Andy

Missie & Andy were married at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Newton, MA. After the ceremony, we were all off to the Lyman Estate. The rain held off just long enough for us to take pictures and really use the beautiful grounds that Lyman has to offer. The couple had a fantastic cocktail hour which featured a Del’s Lemonade stand that served their traditional frozen lemon treat as well as a spiked version . I know a lot of you are thinking “what a cool idea!” After a fun time of walking around and taking pictures we headed off to the reception which was catered by Pranzi catering. During the dinner we learned that Andy told Missie he loved her for the first time by printing it in the news paper! Yes you heard right he had it published! We had a great time capturing all of your memories. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your day!

Juliana & Jason

I think we’ve had one nice day in New England in months, and this was it. The sun was out, it was warm but not too hot. Perfect day for a shoot. There was a lot of action in the Boston commons, prom pictures, another engagement session and lots of people enjoying the weather. My favorite part, was these crazy flowers in the park. I also loved hitting the streets and walking around Newbury street with Jason and Juliana. Everyone, you are going to have to wait a whole year for Jason and Juliana’s wedding! They are getting married at Castle Hill Inn in Newport. Stay posted everyone, Jason and Juliana enjoy your pictures!

Alicia and Ryans Wedding in Healdsburg

Fun Fact: Alicia and Ryan met through work… but didnt work together…

Most Memorable Moment: The dancing was insane! You and your friends should win a medal or something! More of that to come.

We held out breath all week long: it was supposed to rain on Ryan and Alicia’s wedding day. During the course of the week that chance of rain dropped from 40%, to 30% and then to 20% The wedding day was GORGEOUS!! Bright white puffy clouds in the sky and all! It was a beautiful day for and incredibly sweet couple. You two deserved it!

As soon as we arrived we started straight into photos… Ryan watched me scout locations and immediately asked if I was looking for yummy light. uh, YES! I love you Ryan… this comment made my day and put a smile on my face!

After their church ceremony all of their friends and family went up to the homestead in Healdsburg. This place looks like its straight out of a magazine! White house on a hill with a white picket fence, overlooking 360 pano views of vineyards. Cocktails under a massive oak tree and dinner under 4 smaller ones connected with lanterns. Stunning.

At the end of the night when the band started playing Journey the dance floor got crazy. Ties came off and went on the ceiling, heads and even a few shirts came off. :) You New Yorkers know how to party! Either that or it was the yummy signature drink that Ryan and Alicia had. :) Table 10 rocks! And I stand corrected, table 10 from TEXAS rocks!

All of the beatuful details below were put together by Dee Merz.

I hope you two had a great honeymoon in Hawaii!

New Album!

As I mentioned before, I’m like a kid on Christmas morning when sample albums come in… this one was like Christmas morning x2!!! I adored Cara and Brendan’s wedding last July and was waiting for the prefect album combo to come into play for a sample album for myself. I wanted something contemporary yet traditional with light colors… kind of like their wedding.  Unlike the album seen in this post, you can do as many panoramas as you want AND the album is book bound, not hinged. Needless to say I basically camped on my doorstep all day Friday waiting for the UPS guy to deliver it! :) Here’s the details:

12×12 platinum fabric cover with inset photo and spine imprinting. Below right photo shows the lay flat binding.

untitled-1

Top row: All three photos on the left facing page are matted with a cream mat and white inset liner. The photo on the right is flush to the edge of the page:untitled-1-copy

Above row, left side: Left side is matted, while the right side is one 12×12 flush page.

Above row, right side: Full pano spread.

And happy early anniversaty to Cara and Brendan!

Ashleigh and Michael’s Wedding at Auberge du Soleil

Fun Fact: This was a bi-coastal wedding in a way: Ashleigh and Micheal booked me, then Ashleigh’s brother Brigham proposed to Jessica and booked Erica for their east coast wedding! Check back in October for their wedding in Newport!

Most Memorable Moment: Ok, this is a selfish memorable moment M & A: Before the wedding started I was taking test exposores for the processional shots. All of a sudden 3 guests start heckling me that “we cant believe Jim (Ashleigh’s dad) allowed a Canon to photograph her daughters wedding!” huh? Turns out her dad works at Nikon. I had no idea! They kept making jokes that if I missed a shot their Nikons would surely capture it! ;)

When I got home from Ashleigh and Michael’s wedding last week I was on visual overload. So much to see, photograph, beauty was everywhere I turned. Thats what you get when you photograph a wedding coordinators wedding! Michael and Ashleigh enlisted the help of Pacific Events, based out of Las Vegas where they are from. Their crew brought in all the lighting, flowers and Manzanita trees in the week before and worked all night long and all day to get everything ready. The final product was unbelievable. If I had to describe it in one sentence it would be a mix of old school Hollywood glamour with little accents of diamonds throughout. Stunning! Auberge was transformed!

I could go on and on about the day but I’ll let the photos do the talking.

Michael and Ashleigh, have a great time in Africa, take tons of photos!

Ashleigh and Michael decided to do all photos before the wedding… this is my favorite photo from their first sight in La Pagode at Auberge:

Aren’t the hair pieces fabulous? 20090531_099620090531_099720090531_0998

so you two have officially rocked the session at this point!

Brittan and Todd’s Wedding at Francis Farm

Brittan and Todd had a beautiful ceremony at St. Michael’s in Smithfield, RI.  The bride arrived by trolley!  With a week filled with rain these two really lucked out with a sunny, puffy cloud filled sky!  After the ceremony,  I followed them just around the corner to their in-progress property, where we took some fun pics.  Then, it was back on the trolley toward Francis Farm in Rohoboth to the reception!  Christine, from Planned to Perfection, created a lovely day filled with tractor rides, a candy bar, cupcakes, sparklers and even s’mores! All in all it was a cozy, fun and beautiful wedding day for Brittan and Todd.  Congratulations!

Teeter & John’s wedding at Hans Fahden

Fun Fact: Christine’s nickname is Teeter. Your probably wondering where that came from right? Well when she was little she couldnt pronounce her own name. Eventually it stuck and years later shes still know as Teeter!

As I was driving to Teeter and Johns wedding I was on the phone with all my friends. They kept asking me WHY would I choose to work on my birthday?? I’m self employed they said, you make your own hours. All I said was I love what I do and the day would be fun. A birthday is just a day… and as we all know birthdays last all week right?  I had a blast at their wedding and didnt want it to end. You two have the best friends and family… those who love you and arent afraid to let loose and have a little fun. Thank you both for letting me be a part of your day and giving me a very memorable birthday. I really would not have spent it any other way…..

my yummy light photo of the day, Mrs. Koselak:

This is the adorable Isabella… tell me she isnt cute.

my fav from the day:

ok, the chemistry between these two are unreal….

And if you were at the wedding you remember what this was about ;)
