Hands down, the nicest, kindest couple I have ever worked with. Both of their families welcomed me with open arms and were a huge help to me throughout the day. Why? This was my first Indian wedding. And it was beautiful!!!!
I arrived early in the morning to see Jay welcomed into Dhivya’s house by all of the women of the family. Immediately after the 1 1/2 hour ceremony began with many customs and rituals throughout. They incorporated traditional Hindu customs as well as the American ring exchange.
Afterwards we had a chunk of time where last minute changes put my skills to the test. We needed a new, closer location to portraits of Dhivya and Jay. Would you believe all of the portraits below were taken in an office parking lot? Neither could her family… they wanted to keep it on the hush!
The evening reception held for Dhivya and Jays close friends had more of an American touch, with toasts from their siblings Anand and Harini. They ended the night with a slide show and cake cutting.
Thank you sooo much for inviting me to share this special day with you two. I hope the photos bring you happy memories for years to come!
