Erica and I Hiked Mount Washington!

MY OH MY! 6,288 FT! A 4.8 mile hike uphill. Not a nice leisurely hike, but every step was through rocks, not dirt. See the progression:

This was the nice and easy part, but as you’ll see in the photo below how crazy the hike really was:

This was taken from the midway point, we hiked to the top of the bowl, then headed to the right towards the observatory.

These little dots are people:

This is 3 1/2 hours into the hike, were 30 minutes from the top…Oh, the excitement. Not sure what Angelo is doing!?

FINALLY! Four hours later and 30 degrees cooler!

Now that we did it, we can mark it off the list. Never again!! ah!

The Quickest Trip to Mammoth and Yosemite EVER!

Last Thursday I took a quick trip up to Mammoth Lakes. Why? Well my boyfriend has to move there for work. I know, but at least its in a gorgeous part of the state! Half an hour from Yosemite and 45 minutes from Bodie, the largest most well preserved ghost town in the United States.

On the way there we witnessed a beautiful sunset, with cows and all.

We took the Tioga Pass back through Yosemite. We managed to only stop once… we were on a time limit!! (Its a 5 1/2 hour drive, 3-4 hours in the mountains!)
