Ella visits California!

Erica brought Ella out this week to visit me! So today we took a trip up to Apple Hill. Apple Hill is in the Sierras next to Placerville. Its a collection of apple farms and artists all within a 10 mile drive.

Ella explored a hay maze, pumpkin patch and tasted one good apple donut. She’s going to love California so much she’ll probably move out when shes older…. (as her family reads this they laugh!)

Stacey and Frank at the Carneros Inn

Stacey was RADIANT! And Frank loved it!

Stacey and Frank came from NYC to have their wedding at The Carneros Inn this past Saturday. We were crossing our fingers all week for the rain to depart, and luckily we were greeted with deep blue skies and white puffy clouds.

The morning started out with Stacey and her girls prepping in the cottage. Meanwhile, Frank was watching a little college football. The ceremony started promptly at 4 in the middle of the inns apple orchard. Franks 3 sisters read during the ceremony.

After the kiss it was our turn to have a little fun. We let the guests head to cocktail hour while we snuck away for some photos of Frank and Stacey. They had so much chemistry it was easy to photograph them! Check out the slide show for all of the photos.

After we finished, Stacey and Frank were greeted by a fabulous room decorated by Mellysa of Sasha Souza Events. The room included a tree reflected on the wall and dance floor created with light. It added so much depth and ambiance to the room!

The most memorable part of the night was actually a technical glitch. Their first dance song would not play correctly. Without missing a beat one of Stacey’s best friends got up and sang the Beach Boys “Wouldnt It Be Nice” It was great!

Have a great honeymoon in January!

Happy Anniversary to….

my mom and dad! Today they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary!! Geez! My brother, sister and I sent them away this weekend on a second honeymoon to Carmel. And then last night we had a little family dinner. Love ya mom and dad!

Lindsay and Ted

Two destination weddings in a row! Lindsay and Ted came up from LA with a little over 20 family members to have an intimate wedding at Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford. Lindsay and Ted were so excited about their photos that they practiced! How cute is that? Whats even funnier is Lindsay mentioned to me once that their one of their favorite photos on our website is a two image sequence: where the bride is stepping on the grooms foot. So she made sure to practice stepping on Ted’s foot!!!

After the ceremony we enjoyed a six course dinner. And here’s a first: I was invited to eat with the bride and groom. I was honored!

I had so much fun with you two! And with your friends and family! Have a great reception in LA!

Lydia and Ray

Lydia and Ray came all the way out from Connecticut to get married with 40 of their closest friends and family. The ceremony took place at Old St Hillary’s in Tiburon where Lydia walked down the aisle to the acapella band Pure Ecstasy singing “Just My Imagination” Everyone loved it!

After the ceremony their guests boarded two mini buses and played games of mad lib on the drive up to the reception. When they arrived at Hall Winery in Rutherford they were greeted with a wine tour down to the caves where they enjoyed dinner under a beautiful Swarovski crystal tree. (see below)

The night ended in a masquerade ball when everyone donned funny hats, masks and glasses.
