Yesterday was such a beautiful day…. which started very early for me!! I think the last time I was up before the sun rose was to take Erica to the airport at 3 am! Groggy yes, but I was excited for today none the less. Carissa and Ken are actually from Bellevue Washington, where my mother grew up. They did most of their planning from afar, as many destination weddings do nowadays. The heart and thought they put into the details was very touching. The couple had signature quilt strips, an impressionistic painter, and personalized wine bottles (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine (did you know there was non-alcoholic wine?!)) for their guests to take home.
This is Carissa and her mom Francis, she was soooo excited that her daughter was getting married!

Doesn’t she just glow?

I love the color palette they chose: lavender, purple and soft shades of green. It really made the observatory room at the Ritz Carlton pop!

Beautiful food right? Thats the old food photographer in me though…

Carissa and Ken hired an impressionistic painter from San Diego to capture the essence of the day through a large canvas that will now hang in their home. He started at 9 before the room was even set up just to get the base of the room. He finished the painting just after 4.

And the last photo of the afternoon:
