Kim and Siddarth’s wedding at Auberge du Soleil

Fun Fact: Siddharth’s aunt married them, Kim’s aunt was married at Auberge in the 80’s and her aunt also did the flowers!

Most Memorable Moments: The tear dabbing at the alter and the best mans “milk” speech!

After Siddarth and Kim’s engagement session in NYC in May the couple moved to San Francisco. I was jealous because they took a 3 week drive across the country and stopped in Yellowstone and went to a few concerts along the way. Now thats the way to move!! They settled in just in time for their Friday wedding at Auberge du Soleil.

Kim got ready at a beautiful estate overlooking Sonoma Valley. Once she was ready Kim and Siddarth opted to see each other before the wedding, allowing us to do portraits of their families beforehand. Always a good thing! Then two buses shuttled everyone off to Napa for the ceremony, which took place overlooking the valley.

Kim and Siddharth, welcome to California! I know you two will live a long and happy life in SF!

So I tested out some new actions in photo shop… which I have taken a bit of a liking to… lemme know what you think!

I was in LOVE with Kims dress. It was 200% Kim.

Denise & Dan’s wedding at Auberge du Soleil

Fun Fact: Denise and Dan are having two weddings! One in Napa, the other in Boston!

Most Memorable Moment: the dancing! Dan came out of nowhere!

I love all of the special details Denise put into the wedding day. She wanted to make each of her flower girls feel special so she created personalized bracelets for each girl, which also matched the diamond pins in their hair. The ceremony took place on the terrace overlooking the valley. The evening continuted with Dan coming out of nowhere with the conga line… and getting all of the guests started for the night.

The next morning Denise and Dan were off to Hawaii for their honeymoon. I hope you two enjoyed Maui and Oahu and you got to RELAX!

Denise being her stunning self…

I’m in LOVE with her programs, which doubled as fans!

Lisa and Scott: a wedding of joyful tears

Fun Fact: Lisa and Scott have known each other  since high school!

Most Memorable Moment: Wow, where to start? The tears. The tears. Oh, did I mention the tears?

As soon as we started photographing at Bounty Hunter Wines in Downtown Napa, we knew this wedding was going to be a special one… we just didnt know why yet! I guess the saying goes, boys will be boys! Especially so when Scott’s presents to his groomsman were silver engraved pint glasses. Did I mention I said I had a good feeling about this group?

Meanwhile the girls were getting ready down the street, just a few minutes away. As soon as Lisa stepped into her dress the room lit up with excitement. The wedding was finally here! After taking a few photos in downtown proper we were on our way to the ceremony site: Montington Vineyards.

This is a wedding site if you’d ever seen one: a pond, gnarly oak trees, vintage cars and my favorite: old barns! Lisa and Scott exchanged their vows under a massive oak, set in front of a pond overlooking a vineyard. There was not a dry eye during the ceremony. Men were donning their sunglasses to keep their manly appearance. And the ladies… Well… everyone could not have been happier for them!

The tears continued on throughout the night, with heart touching toasts from moms, dads, daughters and friends. Yes, Scott wore sunglasses during the toasts…

I’m so happy to see that this day has come for you two… I know that many happy and err… funny (Borat) memories lay in the path ahead of you. Thanks for making me feel like one of your own. -Tiffany

Update: Bouquet Toss Photos!

So I have been stalking the blog of Byrant and Seda’s wedding photographer, the faboulous Kate Triano to see if she would post me catching the bouquet… and looking over the top doing it…. make your own opinions.

When I scrolled down to this photo last night I almost choked on what I was eating! Thanks Kate!

Inna & Jay’s wedding at Ruby Hill Golf Club

Most Memorable Moment: All of the sweet and adoring looks Jay and Inna gave each other, they are truly in love!

I knew at their engagement session that Inna and Jay’s wedding was going to be one full of love and laughter. They did not disappoint! They opted for a first sight, which ended up being an emotional one! Inna looked stunning, and brought Jay to tears! (sorry Jay for spilling!) Before the ceremony the Ketubah signing took place with close friends and family. The Ketubah is essentially the Jewish form of a marriage certificate, but with deeper meaning. After being signed by two witnesses the groom and groomsman danced and sang around Inna. At this point her veil was placed over her face by Jay. Jay then removed it during the middle of their ceremony after Inna circled Jay seven times. So many traditions!

The night continued on with the Horah dance of of course a roast by Jays best friends! Ah, Jay, dont you love your friends?!

Jay and Inna, thank you  for trusting me with such a special and important day in your lives. I know you two will lead a long, happy and loving life together for years to come!

Inna always looks at Jay this way… it makes me happy to see two people so much in love…

The Boys…

And the ever fabulous girls..

Poor Diego!!

I came home from a wedding last night to hear this horrible cat fight going on. Unfortunately our cat Diego had gotten out! And he went face to face with three raccoons!! We rushed him to the vet who said he should be fine. He has a few cuts here and there, but nothing serious. I think his ego is more bruised than anything!!

Here is Diego before the bruised ego:

Michael and Mara’s Wedding

Fun Fact: Mara and Michael are good friends of Dhivya and Jay, who you may remember from last year!

Most Memorable Moment: The Lion Dance!

I think Michael and Mara picked one of the cutest churches to get married in! The Church of Nativity in  Menlo Park is something out of a movie. Set on beautifully landscaped lawns it made the perfect setting for Mara and Michael to exchange vows. After the ceremony took place, they wanted to create a special portrait of both families in front of the church, its not too often that a family of 70 + flys in from around the world!

After the portrait we left the church to head to The Saint Claire Hotel, a little gem of a hotel in downtown San Jose. Michael and Mara put so many special touches on their wedding day to make sure their guests felt welcomed. They both personally thanked everyone who traveled from afar, with special recognition at the begining of the reception. Then, they prepared a slide show of the past years they have been together.

Just when we thought the dancing would start, another form of dance started! Two lions danced in the room with drums as their beat. They performed a 20 minute captivating show for their guests. Ok, so the Lion Dance is just beautiful to witness, but have you ever tried to take pictures of them and try to get cool angles? Um, slightly intimidating!! My heart was racing the whole time as I thought one of them might fall on me!!! I know, they are trained professionals, but still! lol!

Michael and Mara: I had an awesome time with you both. Thank you for inviting me into your lives, you are truly beautiful inside and out and I wish only the best for you two.

Mara, looking stunning…

I love the color palette she chose. And the bridesmaid dresses look platinum when turned to black and white!

Two angles, same moment…

mmm, yummy light and not at sunset!

Ok, these guys were awesome…. they danced halfway hunched over for 20 minutes straight! For those of you who have never witnessed a Lion dance before there are two people to each lion, the back person, being hunched over holding onto the front person all while doing dances and stunts like jumping on this platform… all while taking on the characteristics of a lion!

My Vacation: Bryant and Seda’s Wedding!

I need a vacation from my vacation! Do you ever feel that way? Last weekend Matt was in the wedding of one of his good friends from DC. So we trekked out to the east coast on Wednesday and visited friends and family NON STOP until Monday morning when we left! I have to say Im so tired!!! And to make the trip home on Monday even more fun, we were both sick. (Matt was so bad he couldnt talk) OK DC… you kicked our butts!!

We had a great time nonetheless with all of the festivities of the wedding starting on Thursday. On Friday Seda paid tribute to her Turkish heritage and planned the rehearsal dinner at Cafe Divan, a posh Turkish restaurant in Georgetown. All I can say is YUM!

The wedding took place on Saturday at the Omni Shoreham. We were holding our breaths all day since there was a chance of rain to start an hour before the ceremony. Bryant and Seda lucked out and their ceremony took place on the beautiful back lawn of the hotel… with some pretty fabulous light! I was instructed to enjoy myself (not take photos) but of course I snapped a few.

The night ended with good food and dancing. And a bouquet toss. Yours truly caught the bouquet!!

haha!

Here are a few photos from the ceremony:

Matt Matt Matt! Always being funny!

Check back later this week for Michael & Mara’s and Jay & Inna’s wedding!
