Karissa and Jeff’s wedding at the San Francisco Theological Seminary

Fun Fact: Jeff and Karissa have THE cutest pet names for each other: shoogs and shugga-bear (like sugar-bear)

Most Memorable Moment: Karissa wiping the tears off of Jeff during the ceremony and the serenade by the one and only “Barry White” sound – a – like!

I have to say I’m so thankful that we decided to photograph Karissa and Jeff’s e session at the location of their wedding! Why? Well it POURED on the day of the wedding! The first seriously rainy day of the season happened to be on November 1st. The rain did not stop the happiness and the tears of the actual day. Their was plenty of laughter and tears to go around. As any of you know, this was Jeff and Karissa’s wedding… and well… laughter MUST be a key element to have a good time!!

Jeff and Karissa: I am over the top incredibly excited for the two of you.  From the first day I met you I knew your love for each other would be one that would be for a lifetime. I hope you two had an amazing honeymoon! See you soon… Tiffany

I’m in love with this photo. The lines…

I’m having a hard time deciding between bw and color. What do you think?

Her parents were so sweet during the first dance…

By far the COOLEST grooms cake EVER! Do you see the resemblance?

New Parent Albums!

Last month I ordered a new sample album for the Intimates side of the business. My jaw dropped when I opened the box… and I instantly found a solution for parent albums!

So of course I ordered a sample parent album of Shawna and David’s wedding. This album is an 8×8 duplicate of the coffee table style bridal album. The pages are printed on luster photo paper and bound to 1mm thick pages. I think the photos will show the album better:

You can choose either a white spine, or black spine

Surgery

Yes, as some of you might know, last week I had surgery to remove my gallbladder. I’d been experiencing random stomach pains for the past few months, and it wasn’t until I told my dad about these pains that I realized it could be serious. Everything I explained to him was exactly what he went through about ten years ago when he had gallstones himself! So on went the doctors appointments, sonograms, pre-op appointments and so forth. I was nervous at first, but when I came home to tell Matt who my surgeon was all my fears went away: he used to work with the doctor who would be doing my surgery… and yes he was a good surgeon!! whew!!

Ill be honest. I don’t wish this surgery on anyone!! I walked away with 4 holes in my belly, one being in my belly button. And you will not believe the size of the gallstone: JUST UNDER AN INCH! Now I understand all the pain I was going through!

I’ve learned a few things from this whole ordeal…

-As delicious as cheese is, eat it in moderation (I think this is going to be the hardest part for me!!)

-I need to exercise my arm muscles! Not being able to use any stomach muscles for four days makes the simplest tasks excruciating. Reaching for the remote, propping yourself up in bed, attempting to stand up from a sitting position.

-If you EVER have a stomach surgery make sure you are not sick AT ALL. I had this lingering cough that I thought I would be fine with. Now it feels like I’m ripping out stitches!

-Don’t watch the Ellen DeGeneres show or anything else remotely funny. Again, it feels like stitches are being removed!

And lastly, I’m so thankful to have had Matt to take care of me! He answered my 8 million questions about the surgery (since he does them all the time) and was at my side for 4 days straight. Thanks Sweetie!

And thank you to everyone who sent good thoughts my way and for everyone’s patience during my recovery!

btw, the furlines were LOVIN that I was not at my desk every day:

Shelbie and Geo’s Mini Engagement Session

Shelbie and Geo are just too cute for words. They are so much in love it makes my job easy!! Thanks you two!

I heart canvas!

I just received a new order of canvas for the studio… I thought I would share so I took a few quick snapshots… I’m in love!

Notice the wrap around edges:

Megan and Jason’s wedding at Cline Cellars in Sonoma

Fun Fact: Megan is a Cancer, while Jason is a Taurus a match described as “the best of all astrological love connections”

Most Memorable Moment: A family members seranade of “Sunrise Sunset”

My first wedding at Cline Cellars in Sonoma couldnt have been more perfect! It was a gorgeous autumn day that fell together perfectly with help of Beth from BA Lipin Event Design. Megan looked phenomenal, so much so that Jason teared up as she walked down the aisle. It was only a few minutes later that I started to tear up after hearing Jason’s sister speech!

After the ceremony the dancing began!! And oh did they dance! The bridal party on stage…. grandparents getting down! It was a party!!

I’m so excited for the two of you! You’ve both married into such wonderful families. I hope you’re having a great honeymoon!
