Kenyon Estate

Last week I had the pleasure of taking the site photos for a brand new event venue in the area: Kenyon Estate. Its located just south of Napa in the hills above American Canyon. This massive (12,500 sq ft) estate can seat up to 400 people on the sunset terrace! Quite a venue!

If you are interested in taking a peek at this property please contact Jason Diavatis of Bay Area Entertainment. Vibrant flowers provided by Jennifer French of Lush Floral. Linens by La Tavola and rentals provided by Classic Party Rentals.

Kelly of Kelly and Ramiro was kind enough to get back in her wedding dress and take some more “architectural fashion shots” around the property for us. Thank you Kelly!!

New Website!

While we loved the first website, we are happy to have a new one with MASSIVE photos! Check it out and tell us what you think!

Adam and Jens Engagement Session in a Ghost Town

When Adam and Jen called to see if I was up for a trip to Vegas for a little shooting on the strip for their e session I was happy to oblige! And then the unthinkable happened… they called the day before the shoot to change plans. Jen wanted throw out an idea they had: “would you be ok with going to a ghost town instead, its an hours drive away” Well, she didn’t even finish her sentence before I rudely interrupted “I’M SO THERE! Lets do it!”

Little did they know ghost towns and all things old are a major soft spot for me. I lhhuve old things: barns, buildings and ghost towns. I even own books with all the major ghost towns of the west. Yes, I know… I’ll bow my head in shame now…

Jen and Adam: Jen you have a smile that can light up a room and are going to make one heck of a bride. And you have that “devilish smirk” down pat. Adam… you have have got to stay on your toes! Thanks for having me out to Vegas. I’ll see you in July!

No ghost town would be complete without a plane crash right? riiiiiight.

This melts me.

I swear I didnt say anything inappropriate to warrant laughter like this. Promise.

End it with a little flare…

Nina & Davis in San Francisco

I love-love-love hearing my couples love stories, may it be meeting through friends, online, or by chance. Nina and Davis’ love story was by chance, at a restaurant in New Orleans. Nina was visiting from the West Coast, Davis from the East. Nina caught his eye from across the restaurant and he couldn’t let her get away. On that trip they had their first date and the rest is history. A long distance relationship and a move across country will lead these two to the Carneros Inn in August. But beforehand I wanted to get to know them in person. Hence the e session. Nina is really one of the sweetest people you’ll meet. Very caring…. which comes with the territory of being a doctor. Not only is she sweet but Nina is also my “accountability partner” for the gym! :) Davis is the perfect match for her. The perfect gentleman (running to open doors, getting coats etc) he’s genuinely a sweet guy and Nina adores him.

Check back at the end of August for their wedding!

I lhhhuuuve this photo:

mmm…yummy light!

I’m so glad we waited for the lights to come on…

Maximo

Everyone please meet Maximo. I look forward to being able photograph his first year. I can’t wait to see how he changes. He already likes to ham up to the camera.

Some days are like Christmas…

I’m taking a risk here by sounding like a huge nerd… but I love it when the UPS guy drops a package on my doorstep! What is it about receiving a package or a big letter in the mail that makes a person all excited?!!

My favorite delivery days by far are album days. (I know, you would think it would be cameras right?) Its like Christmas or my birthday. The wedding day… hours of post production…. more hours of album designs and revisions and the final culmination of all that hard work is an album. Its final printed piece and essentially what will become my clients family heirloom for years to come. And I don’t mean that as in “yay… its finished! Its all done!” I love albums because I cant begin to tell you how different “proofs” look online that the final printed version. Colors jump off the page and what I saw in the camera months before is now in its final form.

And 5 albums came in this week!! Woo hoo! And they were all different types too! So of course I took some photos of them. There is also the NEW and improved version of the 5×5 100 favs book that’s included in wedding packages. (This is the new version for the West coast Adeline & Grace Photography) I’m in love! Satin texture cover with a metallic printed cover. Photos are side by side now and tell a story rather than one per page.

And I have a new version of the photo engagement sign in book. A step up from the old version: Satin texture cover with metallic printed cover and thicker pages that actually lie flat. Much easier for your guests to leave their well wishes! While the album is smaller (8.5 x11) the product is top notch. These products were all found on my quick trip to Vegas a few weeks ago. While I was eying them online I wanted to make sure I was in love with them in person… and I was!

So enough with my nerdy technical rambling. I know ya’ll want to see some photos!

10×10 Coffee table album with photo cover and black leather binding:

12×12 Traditional Album with cream mats and white liners. The binding is hinged instead of book bound like the album above:

The new 100 favs book. 5×5 with 100 images side by side with a nifty metallic cover. I know its hard to see here but the cover pops in person:

And the Engagement Guest Book. 8 1/2 x 11 with lay flat pages. Same book as above but a different size. So the spine is the same as the photo on the top right of the 100 favs book yet thinner.

I went to the gym today…

and it was awesome!!  I have truly missed it! A year and a half ago I went to the gym 3-4 days a week. Once you get in the habit its second nature and you make time for it in your busy schedule. But then I got the studio in May and well… the gym took second string. The wedding season was going full force and the gym was now completely out of my mind.

Things went well. I maintained my weight. And then that nasty old surgery thing came up. “Doctors Orders” were to eat soft foods. Well pudding counts right? Pudding and bad food it was. I had “Doctors Orders” as my crutch to eat everything that I wanted to eat. Which made NO sense in hindsight, especially since I was recovering from gallbladder surgery!

Too personal right? I’m telling everyone this so SOMEONE besides my dear old Matt can hold me accountable! Any of my clients out there toning up for the wedding that wants an accountability partner? Or just anyone in general :) Lets all get back into shape… summers coming isnt it? Leave a comment if you’re up for it!

All the best, Tiffany

Working with the best…

In celebration of the launch of True Event and Chocolate Creative Design I have teamed up with two of the most fantastic ladies in weddings and design to offer this special promotion for the month of March. The three of us had such an amazing time working together on Deirdre and Jason’s wedding (pictured above and on Style Me Pretty this month) we are hoping to collaborate many more times in 2010.
