In loving memory, Deacon Bob Little

Earlier today I learned that the wedding community lost one of their own. Deacon Bob Little passed away yesterday as a result of a motor accident. It was not two days ago that I saw him when he gave blessings to the marriage of Nathan and Louisa. He touched many lives throughout his life and united countless couples. He was a kind, caring and compassionate man that will be truly missed and my heart goes out to his family.  In loving memory to such a gracious man…

Jessica & Brigham’s New York Engagement

What a great few days in New York! One of the things I love about New York are the streets. There is always so much to look at, which is why I was thrilled when Brigham and Jessica wanted to take their engagement pics in NY. We met up on their block and took a few shots around their neighborhood. We made sure to take a few in front of a restaurant that is special to them. Our next stop was the Brooklyn Bridge. Brigham thought about proposing on the bridge but the thought of the ring falling through the cracks made him a little nervous!

Tiffany recently photographed Brigham’s sister’s wedding in Napa. I am so excited to shoot Brigham and Jessica’s wedding this October at Ocean Cliff in Newport!

San Francisco Wedding Photography | Colleen & Rob

Fun Fact: Colleen’s veil has been worn by 5 generations of the women in her family. Steeped in tradition!

There was a common theme running throughout Colleen and Robs wedding day: dancing and laughter. And boy was there dancing! I arrived at the Argonaut Hotel where Colleen was getting ready to find her just finishing with her hair and makeup. As soon as that was finished she practiced her father-daughter dance with her dad in the middle of the hotel suite… just to make sure they would both be in step just a few hours later at the reception. : )

As the ceremony was about to start I think the girls were getting a little antsy… ready for the ceremony to start already. So to pass the time they danced. In the middle of Grace Cathedral. A few of the girls were bustin out Elaine moves!

After the ceremony it was onto the Log Cabin in the Presidio. That log cabin was utterly transformed thanks to the help of Melissa Panico of Map Events, Creative Lighting and Flowers by a Simple Ceremony. Make sure to check out the details at the end of this post. Stunning!

But of course, the night would not have been complete with more dancing…. who knew that the dance floor would be that packed?!! It was crazy out there! Colleen and Rob, your dancing photos put the biggest smiles on my face. And for the general readers here: I did not post them just in case anyone would be offended by having their crazy dance moves on the blog. But you guys rocked the dance floor, all thanks to the great band The Fundamentals.

The veil worn by 5 generations… I love how the stars on the carpet show through along with the lace:

Marin Baby Photographer | Baby Chase

It’s been 5 years now since Erica and I started Adeline & Grace. Now that its been a few years all of our early clients are having babies! Yeah for them! With that means baby portraits. As a valued Adeline & Grace Wedding client your first baby’s first portraits are on us. We love to continue to be a part of our clients lives long after the wedding and watch their families grow from the very start.

The first baby to be born this summer was little Chase.  Here’s Chase’s mom and dad Jen and Garrett on their wedding day… one of my favorite ceremony photos:

Jefferson Street Mansion Wedding Photos | Erika & James

Fun, Random Fact: Erika was the fourth teacher-bride I had IN A ROW! What are the odds? Thank you to all of our hard working teachers out there!

Its not too often that I get to work in Benicia, the town my studio is located in. So when Erika and James came to meet me a while back we joked that I could walk to their wedding when it finally came. (for the record I totally drove! lame.) Their wedding took place at the Jefferson Street Mansion with a view that overlooked the Carquinez Straight. Nobody really noticed it though cause Erika’s was grinning ear to ear! I swear, I’ve never seen someone smile so much!

You two have been through so much together over the years and your marriage starts a new journey all together. I know the passion and love you share for one another will never fade and only get stronger with time. Here’s to many more years of love and passion!

Calistoga Wedding Photographer | Lindsey and Patrick

Fun Fact: Lindsey’s dress was made from her mothers wedding dress…. which previously had long sleeves and a turtleneck! We all commented on the wonders a seamstress can do! ; )

Patrick, Lindsey and 10 of their family members came out from Minnesota to have an intimate ceremony set in the hills of Calistoga. It was a beautiful, relaxed day with the help of Brandy Cabral from Bliss Event Productions. Lindsey and Patrick opted for a first sight to get wedding day jitters out of the way. After a few photos around the property it was on to the ceremony. The ceremony was simple and sweet with an exit of rose petals being pelted at them by family members. In a few weeks they are having a big reception back home… and lucky Lindsey gets to wear her dress one more time! Not too many girls get to do that!

Lindsey and Patrick, thank you for letting me be one of the few special people to witness your love and commitment to each other. I hope the reception back home is a blast!

In a few days all of their photos can be viewed here.

At every major life event her grandmother gave her a pearl for her necklace. Such a sweet tradition:

Engagement Session in Sonoma | Subadra and Karl

You guys are just too cute. Thank you for hanging out and powering through the session with 3 hours of sleep and an overdose of bad Peet’s Coffee! See you at Auberge in October!

On their first date they went hiking. Subadra having just moved from NYC thought this hike was like a stroll through central park. Karl had another kind of hike in mind, but Subardra still didnt change out of her heels. Auberge du Soleil Wedding Photography | Juliana and Daniel

From the first time I met Daniel and Juliana I adored them. They have this love and affection towards each other that anyone would be jealous of. Whenever Juliana is around Daniel a huge smile comes across her face. This calmness and presence comes over her. Daniel is the kind of person where you instantly feel like one of his closest friends, even family. Their love and affection towards their children and family is one of a kind and reminds me what family is all about.

The first time we met back in March was also the week of Daniel’s birthday. Juliana had a whole birthday week planned out for them, however Daniel had NO idea what he was doing. Daniel returned the favor just a few short months later when they returned to California for their wedding. He called me a few weeks before the wedding and explained that he wanted to get Juliana a camera for her wedding present. I thought this conversation was turning into a Nikon vs Canon debate. But no, I was sooo wrong! Daniel wanted to surprise Juliana with personal photo lessons and a photo safari with me! Tell me that isn’t the sweetest thing EVER! (ok, I might be biased) I surprised Juliana two weeks ago by walking into the same restaurant they were having lunch in! We hung out the rest of the day in taking photos and learning how to use her new camera.

The following week when all of their family was in town they met up to have their rehearsal dinner at Hall Rutherford. Talk about wow factor:

weddingrehersalathallrutherford

Their wedding the next day was at Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford. Surrounded by their family and friends Julina and Daniel promised themselves to one another. The rest of the day was full of food, dancing and a little bit of the sprinkler dance! Jack…. ;)

But wait! There was one more surprise. The honeymoon! Juliana had no idea where they were going, she thinks its in California. OK, inquiring minds want to know! Juliana and Daniel I hope the honeymoon lasts forever and you keep surprising each other for years to come. Thank you for being such amazing people and welcoming me into your lives with open arms.

You can view all of their wedding photos here.

Juliana, I think you may have modeled in a previous life:

the dashing Daniel. The blue tie matched his eyes perfectly!

One of my other favorite moments of the day. Juliana’s father walked her halfway down the aisle, and her son Jack walked her the remaining half. The look on her fathers face says it all.
