A Baby Shower!

Early in March Brandy and I threw a baby shower for one of our dear friends Jennifer. We both knew that with Jenn being a florist we shouldn’t even try to do flowers…so we created tissue paper pom poms instead! The shower was at one of our favorite venue’s, the Carneros Inn in Napa. How I ADORE the Hilltop dining room! Its such a beautiful event space and the food we had was delicious!

I’m so excited for you Jennifer. Only a few weeks left and the baby is here. I get dibs on the first baby photos. ;)

Special thanks to La Tavola Linen and Classic Party Rentals:

And then a few days later we went out to shoot some belly shots. I was bound and determined to find cherry blossoms that day. We drove around for 30 minutes and then as we heading back to the freeway there were some near the on ramp. SCORE!

San Francisco Engagement Photography | Brad & Jamie!

You know those days where they don’t go exactly as planned but they are fun anyways? Kind of adventurous? I had one of those days last Sunday! I was set to meet Brad and Jamie at Coit Tower where they both were engaged. I was sitting in THE longest line of traffic to get to the top so I called Jamie to let her know I was there… but wasnt moving. She quickly informed me that they were the reason for the traffic… er…. actually the guy that Brad was helping was the reason.

Some guy face planted off his bike and Brad came to the rescue! Soon enough a fire truck and ambulance were on their way and the chance of ever making it to Coit Tower in the next 30 minutes were slim to none so I suggested we go to the next location to try to salvage what light we had left. And that we did. We explored the presidio and eventually made it back to Coit Tower with minutes of light left.

Thank you Jamie and Brad for going with the flow! Check back in May for their wedding at The Lodge at Sonoma.

Lea & Derek

I met Lea and Derek for the first time at their engagement session, as soon as I met them I realized what a wonderful couple they are.  They are just the nicest people.  They had a few bumps in the road with their wedding planning, but in the end they had a fantastic reception and a beautiful ceremony in St. Maarten!  I am trying to get Lea to write a little something about her wedding planning experience, it will definitely make you all laugh.  Pressures on now Lea!  They decided to have a small wedding reception here in Rhode Island at the beautiful Glen Manor for all the family friends that could not make it to their ceremony in the islands.  Then they had another little bump in the road, I finally went into labor but it was two days before her wedding day.  Tiffany and Jenna came to the rescue!  The first thing they told me when they got home was how I just missed an incredible wedding, I was so jealous.  It kinda felt like when your on a diet and someone is eating a piece of chocolate cake and they keep telling you how fantastic it is!

So now here’s Jenna to tell you about the night…..

It’s true, these two are just too cute together.  As Lea and Derek were getting to Glen Manor, the sun was on it’s way down.  The girls quickly made the decision to brave the cold for some great photos.  Tiffany and I clicked away for some fun pics.  We all ran back inside and the reception was in full swing.  Derek’s brother gave a short yet hilarious speech poking fun at Lea’s slightly large feet and Lea’s dad was all teary eyed as they danced surrounded by friends and family.  The biggest surprise of the day?  Tiffany and I went upstairs to grab a quick bite with the band and Lea and Derek joined us!  Talk about friendly :)

To Lea and Derek, thank you for sharing your night with us.  It was truly a pleasure to be there.

Napa Valley Engagement Session | Marie & Tom

Marie and Tom are so cute I can’t stand it. They were total naturals for the camera and at the end of the session Marie even admitted that she was nervous before the session… then said it was easy! They both share my love of sweets too: after the shoot we snacked at Bouchon Bakery. YUM! Check back in June for their wedding at Auberge du Soleil!
