The last shoot of the year… and it was a fun one. Congrats to Katie and Mike! And a second congrats goes to Katie for graduating this month… such a busy year for you girl!

An Oakland Engagement Session | Claire & Marcus!

How Marcus proposed to Claire blows every proposal story out of the water: He compiled all the videos they had created together and RENTED A MOVIE THEATER to watch the movie in. At the end of the movie he popped the question. It doesn’t end there! They shared their excitement with their friends and family via skype afterwards! Love love love! After being that creative I can’t wait to see what he comes up with for the wedding.

Davis Engagement Session :|: Allie & Scott at the Davis Arboretum

As soon as I pulled up to do Allie and Scott’s engagement session, it started to rain! We had to hide out at a bus shelter for awhile but that just made us get to know one another better. As soon as we made a game plan for shooting in the rain, however, the rain magically stopped. Score! We were able to explore all the cool nooks that the Arboretum has to offer. Check back next year for their wedding at Silverado Resort. They will be getting married under massive oak trees and I’m sure it will be absolutely beautiful!

A Haight Engagement Session :|: June and Trevor!

I have known June since high school… which without dating ourselves is over ten years. Then and even now I think this quote fits her perfectly:

Girl, you are still the same! Love you for that. I’m so happy you found Trevor… I think you met your match.

We started out our session at one of their favorite restaurants, Cha Cha Cha’s. Best sangria ever people!

We ended our session in Pacifica… right down the street from their house. Thank you for bearing the cold you too. Can’t wait to see you get married next year! Vegas style!

An hour before our session Jessica and Matt tied the knot! I kid I kid… but they did stop by San Francisco’s City Hall to pick it up since they are from Connecticut. They wanted a little bit of the nitty grittiness of NYC but in SF. I think we accomplished that. Check back next month to see a sneak peek from their wedding at Cline Cellars in Sonoma.

What a great shoot! I had no idea what to expect when driving to West Hartford for an engagement shoot. Sarah and Eric took me downtown to a cute shopping area. We walked around and just hung out, having a great time taking photos. I love this couple, I love these pics, and I can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Half Moon Bay Engagement Session :|: Tiffany and Aryn

During our initial consultation a few months back Aryn and Tiffany recounted how Aryn proposed to her. He had a whole plan involved but it was FREEZING where they were staying at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay. Tiffany refused to go outside! lol. But who can blame her! He proposed anyways in the warm comfort of the hotel and the rest is history.

So it was only fitting to do their engagement session back where Aryn proposed. And even more fitting that it was completely and utterly socked in with fog just like the day they were engaged! Luckily it wasn’t cold and we split half the session near the beach, while the other half in town where it was a bit more sunny.

There’s something about the truck in this photo that I love…

And this is where they ate after Aryn proposed. Thanks for bearing the cold once again

Napa Engagement Session :|: Sarah and Alex’s Picnic

Alex and Sarah recreated their favorite date for their engagement session: a picnic! LOVE THIS!

We found a little country road with a vineyard to shoot at…

And for dessert they even had cupcakes! Not just any cupcakes… but my favorite: SIFT!
