Ice cream, parking garages and yummy light. I have to say it was a good day! Thanks Dan and Sara for bearing through the cold for me.

I love that moment right before a kiss…

Ah baseball. Whenever I ask a couple what they like to do for fun there seems to be a common theme: baseball games, eating out and wine. You know what Marci and Nick said? Giants baseball and Costco. You have to love that ! Who doesnt love Costco, its like Target!
Marci and Nick… thanks for hanging in there. I know the traffic was horrible that day but I think these were absolutely worth it! (we had our session the week the bay bridge was closed. took us 2 + hours to get into the city! yikes!)

Love the bats at the Giants park in SF:

It was one of those rare BEAUTIFUL days in San Francisco. Perfect temperature out and just a few clouds in the sky. We hung out in Josh and Jessica’s neighborhood for a bit and then decided to take a chance on Chrissy Field. We lucked out…no fog there either! Check back next June for their wedding at The Carneros Inn.

Wait til you see her wedding shoes. TO DIE FOR!!!!

Jess… you’re so darn cute!

Miriam and Peter have been together for years…. I think it really shows with the love that comes through in their engagement photos….

Last Sunday night I had the pleasure of hanging out with Rob and Colleen at whats now a very special place to them both: Fort Mason. It was here that Rob proposed to Colleen…. and had his friends staked out in the bushes with cameras taking pictures! LOVE IT!
Thank you Colleen and Rob for daring to go out in tornado winds… especially in a dress girl… you are a trooper!

Now that is what I call God light!
Rob proposed to Colleen just around this area in Fort Mason. He designed the ring himself. Lucky girl ~ that is a ring I would love to have!
love the contrast in this image…
Why the Carneros Inn for Nathan and Louisa’s engagement session? Well that’s where Nathan proposed to her… with one of the cutest ways possible. Louisa was out in SF from DC for business and Nathan decided to make a fun weekend out of it. Except Louisa had NO IDEA what was in store. Nathan planned everything to a T with a sort of “scavenger hunt” for the weekend full of little love notes and clues along the way.
Louisa’s first surprise was the trip to Napa, as she had just assumed that they were staying in San Francisco for the weekend. As soon as they arrived to the Carneros they were off to the spa. Nathan excused himself to the sauna… only he really ran back to the hotel room to put his final plan into play:
A rose petal walkway with candles leading to a Tiffanys box… only an empty box with a note inside with instructions leading to another Tiffanys box, with yet another note! Louisa left the spa… utterly relaxed without a care in the world. She completely looked over the rose petal walkway and the candles… halfway thinking to herself “hey, that cottage looks like its on fire?” She knocked on her door only to hear Nathan yell “other door!!!!” (their cottage had two entrances) Ok, so Louisa walks past EVERY box with a note straight to Nathan. He turns her around and they went through every box together. After 3 empty boxes he pulled a ring from his pocked, got down on one knee and proposed. This is one marriage that is going to have excitement at every turn!
Check back in August for when I share how they met….
These two are in LHHHUVE. I had to walk away a few times it was so darn cute!!
I always suggest to my couples to have their makeup trial on the same day as their engagement session. Why not test drive how it will photograph? Louisa secured the ever so fabulous Chris McDonald of the Dream Team. She looks fab eh?
